A Little About The Coach

Sara Mahoney holds a Ph.D. in Exercise Physiology, is a Fellow of the American College of Sports Medicine and is an associate professor. Her research has been featured in Runners' World and Trailrunner magazine, and focuses on the role of nutrition in ultra endurance performance. She has coached the the collegiate level both at Div II and Div I track and cross country. 

She has been running competitively for the past 20 years in distances from the half mile through 50 miles, and loves to work with athletes from all backgrounds and abilities.  is also a wife and working mom, so she understand the importance of life balance with training. She provides flexible training plans that always adjust to life stress, and uses daily check-ins and unlimited communication to make sure that the plan is supportive and meets your needs
